PC Security for a Distributed Workforce: Closing the Gap in Clinical and Non-Clinical Settings
11AM PST / 12PM MST
While the healthcare industry is focusing on going digital and zeroing in on cybersecurity efforts around digitization and hot technologies such as telehealth, the industry is not paying as much attention as it should to obvious technology security risks, such as the legions of laptops that many of its workers and clinicians use. When data breaches occur as a result of compromised laptops, there’s a real price to be paid – both from a financial and brand perspective. While many healthcare organizations have been saddled with settlements, the rest of the industry needs to take note that the HHS Office for Civil Rights is stepping up its enforcement – another incentive to pay attention to laptop security. There are easy fixes for this from a hardware standpoint. Laptops need to have built in multi-factor authentication and hard drive encryption. If it’s built in, there’s no excuse to not use it.
In this webinar, participants will learn about:
- Increased security risks in the current landscape
- How to arm your healthcare employees wherever they work
- How to address elements like multi-factor authentication and data encryption
- HP’s commitment to helping secure healthcare organizations
